We are forces of nature
living in forces of nature.
Books open pages move.
I like the still-wild possibility of moving through
books with our eyes, hands and imagination, and how
we can travel through words, images and landscapes
in our own space and time.
Most of my growing up was in the mountains of Colorado, where I learned to love the wilderness and— velocity. I received my first degree from CU Boulder and worked as a journalist before receiving a BFA in Graphic Design and Printmaking at California College of the Arts. My work as a book artist allows me to give form to my curiosity. I am particularly interested in the intersection of scientific understanding and human significance. I live in Berkeley with my husband, Emmanuel Saez, a view of the ever-changing sky over the hills and bridges, and a Vandercook in my backyard.
